Behind much??

I guess it is fair to say that I have been a wee bit behind with my 365 blogging. DANG IT! I had the highest hopes that I was going to be amazingly perfect and put this as a priority. Life has gotten in the way, which isnt to say that I havent been taking my daily pictures. It just means that I have been "focused" on the more important things in life; AKA my beautiful twin girls (who are one year old today), my photography business, and my...well...life. Things are crazy and that is okay. For once in my life that is okay and I am OKAY with it. Wow, the fact that I posted that for the world to see is amazing!! Anyway, I am planning on catching up in a few days after I have thrown a totally elaborate first birthday for my little angels. Again, I am planning on it. We all know that doesnt mean its gonna happen! Lol! Thanks for following this blog! I love you all for even taking the time to look at what I find interesting in my everyday live.

{Day 52}

Its that time of year. Pumpkins, cider, sitting by the fire. I love it.

Photobucket

{Day 51}

This was the storm that preceeded the first snow of the season. The clouds were only pink for 2 minutes. I happened to grab my camera just in time. yayy!

Photobucket

{Day 50}

I did a little experiment with 3 different focal points on reflection. I dont know what I have been so fascinated with reflections lately. I think I will just go with it.

Now that things are slowing down I feel like I will be able to stop and actually take pictures that are, well, closer to my heart. Thank goodness. That is the whole point of this project, isnt it!?!

Photobucket

{Day 49}

An old grungy trolley cart. I have always wondered how on earth it got there.

Photobucket

{Day 48}

This time of night is my favorite. Just about 5 minutes before the sun goes down. The glow is amazing.

Photobucket

{Day 47}

4 seconds before I took this pictures I watched that giant leggy spider inhale a smaller spider. Nature at its finest. I wish I would have captured that moment!

{Day 46}

And this...the face and cheekies of an angel. I cant get enough. Those piggies kill me. My baby is looking more grown up every day!

Photobucket

{Day 45}

Is this not the face, or should I say profile of an angel! I think it is, and she is MY angel! What a lucky momma I am!

Photobucket

{Day 44}

On location again for yet another engagement session. The sand at the salt flats is amazing. It may stink out there, but the ripples in the sand is so beautiful. It goes on for miles. Amazing!

Photobucket

{Day 43}

I was on location at an engagement session tonight. This was spraypainted on an old concrete building and I had to photograph it. Not the best picture in the world, but I will let the tagging speak for itself.

Photobucket

{Day 42}

Extreme sun on a plaster wall.

Photobucket

{Day 41}

Spray paint coated in spray paing coated in spraypaint.

Photobucket

{Day 40}

True, natural, water damaged rust. Getting the watermark to work on this and my next posts was a lot of fun! Thats texture for ya!

Photobucket

{Day 39}

I have decided to have some sort of theme this week. I was inspired when I captured this old trolly coil.

Photobucket

{Day 38}

Shot another wedding today. I though I would get another angle of the SLC temple. It really is beautiful!

Photobucket

{Day 37}

Okay, the colors caught my eye. I know I have a few images like this already. I just loved the natural color.

Photobucket

{Day 36}

Today is one of those days where I needed the sunshine. I am glad it was there peeking through these trees. I seriously could have sat on this bench and soaked it up alllllll day.

Photobucket

{Day 35}

This is my reality every morning. After they have had a hayday with their food in their high chairs I strip them down to their diapers and let them play. 9 times out of 10 they end up attached somehow. This time it was Lila on Ruby's backside. Love them!

Photobucket

{Day 34}

I shot a wedding today. I couldnt resist the amazing architecture against the blue sky.

Photobucket

{Day 33}

A little warmer than I usually edit. Im loving the warm feeling lately. Could fall be the reason? Probably!

{Day 31}

Photobucket

Its October 1st today. I love this month for so many reasons. I think it makes me feel like I can officially burn my pumpkin candles. This pic is a good way to welcome October.

{Day 30}

Photobucket

This little bee was just loving the taste of this lavender. The bees were everywhere. Im surprised I didnt get stung!

{Day 29}

Photobucket

I have really enjoyed nature pictures lately. Its out of my normal routine and I love it. Lighting isnt the best, but its still beautiful.

{Day 28}

Photobucket

Its not every day you see a 2 year old walking a bulldog and a pit bull. This is from a family session I had this last week. I had to share!

{Day 27}

Photobucket

One of their nicknames is "punkin buns". I think this picture explains it all.

{Day 26}

Photobucket

Love the DOF on this one! I just might print this one out and put it in my house.

{Day 25}

Photobucket

{Day 23}

Photobucket

Fire is amazing. Its out of control and almost looks fake when photographed. The best part of this pictures is it is completely unedited! Honest!

I had one of those days where EVERYTHING went wrong. It was a bad day! I was seeing red and basically breathing fire. This is an appropriate pictures for day 23.

{Day 22}

Photobucket

I love rainy days and nights. I wish I could photograph the sound and smell of rain. Whoa, that was too deep for a late Wednesday night. I think I need to go watch the season premiere of Modern Family. Wahoooooo!

{Day 21}

Photobucket

She loves sitting in the sink. She saw herself in the mirror and smiled. I love watching her learn. I love her!

Terrible lighting...taken at night...I dont care. Its still adorable.

{Day 20}

Photobucket

So, I'm a little behind with my posting. Ive been really good with actually taking the pictures, but the posting has been lacking. Enjoy this fall sunset while I get my next few pics up.

{Day 19}

Photobucket

A view of a very fiery, hazy and smokey sunset from my rear view mirror.

{Day 18}

A gorgeous bride from my session today. Her eyes were too stunning not to have as a focal point. Check my photography blog in a a few days for more of this session.

{Day 17}

Photobucket

My brother sent these from Kyrgyzstan when he was on his way to Afghanistan. How ADORABLE are they, and how ADORABLE that he saw them and thought of his nieces. We love them. The other pair are a bit different but equally as darling. Perhaps they will show up on another day!

{Day 16}

Photobucket

I guess this means I should start saving for braces. She has the same thing I had to have surgery on. Dang those genes!! She will still be adorable, braces or not!

{Day 14}

Photobucket

It's sunflower season and I am mighty happy about it. Its one of the many things to love about the fall. I have a feeling it will be showing up on my clients blog often.

{Day 13}

Photobucket

I was at a family session tonight and this was my view when I looked up. Pretty awesome 'eh! I had to add a vintage touch. I think the old school look is fantastic!

{Day 11}

Photobucket
How appropriate to be on day 11 today. We visited the Healing Field today in honor of September 11th.  It is truly a sight to be seen. I cant believe it has been 9 years.  I think of all the families and loved ones who lost someone that day.  My heart hurts for them. I know that this day will forever hold significant meaning in their lives as it does to every American. I am particularly grateful this year for my freedoms as my brother, Johnny, is serving our country in Afghanistan. Thank you to all the men and women serving our country!

These photos aren't from today, but they are from July 9th of this year. This is the day my brother deployed. I couldn't help but share some of my favorite photos from the day.

{Day 9}

Photobucket

There are a few things to learn from this image:

  1. Always lotion your feet during the summer time otherwise they will end up looking like this!
  2. Wear shoes that wont give you blisters on your pinky toes. Blisters hurt...bad!
  3. Its probably a good idea to completely remove your old polish before applying fake nails.
  4. These oh so fun toenails are $6.99 press on nails from Target. Really!
